Rebecca asks… Do you know how to take care of your whites?

It’s time to pull out all of your whites.  Check them for stains that may have been left when you put them up last year.  If you have already washed and dried them, it may be a hopeless cause to get the stain out.  But check this handy idea out…

yellow-stains-on-white-shirt-1 Here’s great info about those pesky yellow stains in the armpits of your white shirts.  “It’s actually a combination of sunscreen, body oils, and perspiration”, says Heloise, of the famous, Hints from Heloise.  “She says to try mixing a squirt or 2 of liquid dish soap, cover with dishwasher detergent that contains chorine bleach and add enough water to make a thick paste in a small bowl.  Scrub this into the stain with a toothbrush and let sit for a least half an hour; then wash the garment in the hottest water possible and let air-dry.  This technique should help fade the problem areas, though you may need to repeat it a few times to completely remove the stains. “ (courtesy of Good Housekeeping).

Treat these stains as soon as you see them, otherwise, set in stains may not ever come out.
