ONE |  ***LEATHER!
My favorite trend for Fall is…drum roll please *** LEATHER!  I think it might have been my favorite last year as well.  Leather is everywhere – full leather pants and dresses or subtle hints of leather on sleeves and collars.  The real leather out there is gorgeous and the synthetic leathers and “coated” pieces look beautiful as well.  Jacket on left is from Anthropologie ($188) and Leather Tuxedo Pant is from J. Crew ($168).

TWO | Accessories
Accessories can be an easy way to take on a new season.  Pair smaller and more purposeful pieces (necklaces/earrings) with a statement cuff!  I love these from Left – designer Amanda Sterett www.amandasterett.com ($490), Center is from Anthropologie ($198) and Right – designer Calleen Corderowww.calleencordero.com ($149).

THREE | Leather Jackets
In relationship to my “heavy” on leather I am excited to see all of the different types of motorcycle inspired jackets.  I love the full leather looks but also appreciate the mix of fabrics that some designers/stores are presenting this season.  Styles and prices are in a good range for testing a trend or going full speed! Jacket on left is from The Limited ($128), Jacket on right is from Bailey 44 ($416) available at Saks.

FOUR | Blue
BLUE!!!  Everyone looks good in this gorgeous color!  It is bright and mixes well with your neutral colors – please grab something this season in this color! Ann Taylor looks better than I have seen it since we all bought triacetate suiting in the mid 90’s! Both pieces Ann Taylor, Skirt ($89) and Jacket ($159).

FIVE | DO + DO NOT
I was in the stores all week and had some chuckles with clients regarding all the crop and peekaboo inspired styles. Here is a definite DO NOT and a very sophisticated and sexy DO (body type restrictions do apply).  Right is Derek Lam for Saks ($750). And Left is from the Top Shop Collection at Nordstrom (not worth a penny).
